Lulou's is a full-service restaurant tucked into midtown Reno, known for blending New American and Spanish influences in a cozy, intimate setting. The space is modest in size, which naturally creates a warm and focused dining experience where conversations flow easily despite the restaurant's popularity and packed evenings.

The menu leans toward creative dishes that highlight fresh, bold flavors — from seafood options like scallops and ceviche to heartier choices like chili-crusted short rib and steak tartare. Sharing small plates such as warm goat cheese or pork buns works well here, inviting diners to sample a variety of tastes without rushing. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, including some distinctive California and international bottles, making it a good spot for wine lovers who appreciate pairing their meal with something special.

Service at Lulou's strikes a balance between attentive and relaxed, with staff who are helpful without crowding the table. Expect to call ahead to book since reservations aren’t accepted online, which speaks to its local appeal as a place people plan ahead for special dinners rather than drop in spontaneously.

Visitors often come here for occasions that call for a bit of indulgence — whether it's a celebratory dinner or a quiet evening out—given that mains typically range between $40 and $50. The atmosphere supports lingering over each course and savoring the mix of textures and spices, with cocktails and desserts like their Mason jar cheesecake rounding out the experience.

Lulou's fits neatly into Reno’s culinary scene as a spot where midtown’s evolving vibe meets reliably creative food. Its intimate size and thoughtfully composed menu make it especially suitable for those who value an unhurried meal and a friendly, neighborhood feel in the heart of the city.

Expensive but worth it for special occasions . The food is amazing , the decor is cute and the place is rather small but makes it feel Intimate. Expect to pay about 40 to 50 for main dishes , 15 to 20 for small plates and starters and bottles of wine between 50 and 200 . Came here for Christmas eve dinner . There’s no way to book a reservation online , you have to call in . Service was great .

The food was AMAZING. Pricey, but so worth it. The staff was super friendly, attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere was wonderful, it was packed when we went but I never felt like I had to talk over anyone even though the tables were sort of close together. The Mason jar cheesecake was TO DIE FOR. Everything came out cooked to perfection and in a timely manner. The lobster spaghetti came out with a whole damn lobster!

The ceviche and chopped salad were delicious! I'd been meaning to try Lulou's for some time now and was impressed! I'll definitely be coming back.

My friend and I both loved this place. The food was so good. We shared, ceviche, the warm goat cheese, seared foie gras, pork buns, and the scallops. Everything was really good, but surprisingly, I think the warm goat cheese was my favorite dish. The cocktails and the service were both good as well. The price was totally worth it.

Reno has a true gem in the heart of midtown. There's a reason it's been here for 25 yrs and I could see that evident in the delicious and creative dishes on their menu. I really had a hard time deciding what to order because I wanted to try it all. The yellowtail app was very well balanced with a nice bit of heat, and the tomato salad had some of the juciest tomatoes I've ever had. The duck breast came 2 ways, both excellent and perfectly cooked. Though I was a bit jealous of my partners Halibut because the broth was so good. Everyone was very friendly, attentive, and professional and we had an excellent date night. I definitely look forward to returning to try some of the other tasty sounding dishes.

Had an absolutely incredible meal here with some friends. Everything we ordered was on point with bold flavors and great execution. We had multiple appetizers and all four entrees were amazing. I could not recommend a restaurant more. By far the best food in Reno, and best upscale restaurant. The woman who took our drink order before we were sat at our table was a little rude but I would gladly come back.

Impeccable service. My food favorites were the Thai duck soup, cheese ravioli (special), short rib, and butterscotch pudding.
